What's so special about Naples?!

1.) Best City to Relax:

When I was younger, I always had a love hate relationship with Naples, FL mostly due to the slow pace of life and the older crowd living there.  However, now that I am a little older, and wiser, Naples is the PERFECT escape!  Absolutely no one will bother you when you’re dipping in the clear ocean, or laying by any pool.  Every Neapolitan has the understanding that Naples is a sacred place to strictly enjoy oneself.  

2.) The Shopping:

With wonderful meccas like The Mercato and Waterside Shops, where you can dabble in and out of indoor and outdoor malls to continue to enjoy the 85 degree usual Florida weather is a dream!  One of my absolute favorite secret Florida wonders is, The Best of Everything!  Here you can purchase all of the most fabulous trendy jewelry and purses for beyond reasonable prices!  I usually stock up on my accessories here because the typical price for earrings are anywhere from $5-10!  When I return up North, I always get compliments on my The Best of Everything finds.

3.) The Food:

Who doesn’t love fresh, and I mean caught that very morning a few miles away, seafood?!  Tin City offers a more casual shrimp and margarita fare by the water, where, Sea Salt on 3rd Street boasts the BEST fish tacos!!  Even the Tommy Bahama’s store has a ridiculously delicious café.  My favorite fish to eat in Naples is the Grouper.  This can be best devoured at Pazzo located in 5th avenue downtown Naples.  My mother is a Linguini with white clams regular here!  Lastly, my parents and I found the most wonderful French restaurant, L’Auberge.  The chef and his wife created a secret Parisian getaway for your tastebuds.  I had the best Escargots and salmon.  Be sure to check out the Rosé too. I can not speak highly enough on every single wonderful restaurant in Naples, you just can’t go wrong!

4.)  The Colors:  

Being a New Yorker, every single Manhattanite is guilty of wearing black, black and more black on a daily basis!  In Naples, Florida colors are a requirement.  It is the only place where neon pink is paired perfectly and effortlessly with neon orange and hey, throw in the yellow shoes!  No one will look at you funny here when you rock salmon or turquoise male or female! Also, bathing suits are best loved when bright green palm trees and gorgeous purple flowers surround every beach and pool.  So, if you’re planning a trip to Naples pack the nautical, bright and patterned goodies you dream of wearing out in the sunshine!
